ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION
Since 2015 South Sound Roller Derby (SSRD) has been a recreational derby league of female-identifying and non-binary athletes in Lacey, Washington. We formed a grassroots, skater-owned and operated flat-track league focusing on inter- and intra-league play. League members empower and inspire each other and our community. We train individuals at all skill levels — including those who have never skated before. SSRD always welcomes newcomers; we aim to be one of the strongest recreational derby leagues in the Pacific Northwest, a league where everyone is welcome to participate.
WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
Our community is an integral part of our current and future success. We are seeking sponsors to help provide some of the specialized needs that come with playing roller derby. Our current needs for the 2023-2024 season include:
SPORT COURT
A sport court is a removable skate floor that will allow us to bout in our home community. While we have found an ideal practice space, it is not large enough to host a bout. A sport court will allow us to rent spaces in the community and support an audience.

TRAILER
Being able to store and move the sport court in a single trailer makes hosting bouts easy. It reduces the cost of renting a truck and the cost of renting a venue due to reduced set-up time.

UNIFORMS
Reversible uniforms come at a cost of $90 each. These allow us to have a home and away uniform in one piece, reducing the overall cost of uniforms. Currently, the league has ~25 members.

We currently offer seven sponsorship levels as well as opportunities for custom sponsorships. All sponsorships cover the South Sound Roller Derby 2023-2024 season home games.
